Unit 14 - Exercise, Health & Lifestyle

Scenario/Background: You have started a new job as a health and fitness instructor. In your role you are expected to be able to advise clients about the importance of lifestyle factors and how these can have a significant impact upon a person’s health. You have decided to put a leaflet together about the effect of lifestyle upon health that you can give out to your clients to read at their leisure.


 
Task Breakdown
Write a blog to give to prospective clients.
 Introduction
Briefly outline who you are and why you have written the blog.
P1 Lifestyle Factors
Your leaflet should describe and explain these lifestyle factors:
  • physical activity
  • alcohol 
  • smoking
  • stress 
  • diet
It should describe how each of these factors affects a person’s health and wellbeing.
 M1
Any explanation of the effects of lifestyle factors should include short-term and long-term effects as well as suggest future implications to health and well being. Recommended levels of consumption should also be quoted and guidance offered to my alterations to the lifestyle factors
